TL1 - Lesson 2: Identifying Nun Sakina & Tanween

*words written in red are commonly used terms or just translation in Bahasa Malaysia.

Examples:
Nun Sakina - middle of a word
(*no movement sign i.e. fathah/dhommah/kasrah)

Nun Sakina - end of a word
(*no movement sign i.e. fathah/dhommah/kasrah)

Tanween - Double Fathah (Fathatain)
(*only read the nun sound if we are reading continuously - waslan)

Tanween - Double Dhommah (Dhommatain)
(*only read the nun sound if we are reading continuously - waslan)

Tanween - Double Kasrah (Kasratain)
(*only read the nun sound if we are reading continuously - waslan)

P.s.  Even though I mentioned that we have to make the nun sound (for tanween) when reading continuously, there will be rules introduced in the future that you will have to drop the nun sound. In fact for nun sakina, when certain rules are applied, we also have to drop the nun sound (exit point).

Practice:
Find Nun Sakina or Tanween from Al Baqarah 1 - 10.
