TL1 - Level of Ghunnah Intensity (Nasalization)

What is GHUNNAH?

Ghunnah is a natural characteristics that accompanies the letters Nun (ن) + Mim (م) ONLY.

When pronouncing these 2 letters, the sound travels (vibrates) through the nasal cavity producing the ghunnah naturally.

The time it takes varies between 1 - 2 haraka.

There are 5 levels of Ghunnah Intensity. Level 1 being the strongest.

Level 1 - Nun Moshadad, Mim Moshadad, Nun Sakina Idgham for letters Nun (ن) + Mim (م) and Mim Sakina Idgham
(2 haraka)


Level 2 - Nun Sakina Idgham for letters Ya (ي) and Waw (و)
(2 haraka)


Level 3 - Nun Sakina Iqlab, Nun Sakina Ikhfa' and Mim Sakinah Ikhfa'
(2 haraka)


Level 4 - Nun Sakina Izhar and Mim Sakina Izhar
(Natural Ghunnah - 1 haraka)


Level 5 - Letter Nun (ن) and Mim (م) with any of the movement signs (Fathah, Dhommah, Kasrah)
(Natural Ghunnah - 1 haraka)
